Sad Day II

Although this post should have been right after the next day to the previous one, but a very close friend’s marriage and then extra work load after his departure for his honeymoon and more importantly my laziness and recently my screwed internet connection made me not to write/update.

Anyways, the day after my adventure a friend of mine had to part ways. I wont go into details of that, just want to dedicate this post to him and the seven months we spent at work. Initially it was just a hi hello but the day I mentioned to him that I was at GIKI there was no looking back. He happened to be a very close friend of my hostel mates and since he wasn’t from this town so I found it my duty to make sure that his stay in Karachi is as memorable and comfortable as it can get. I don’t think I had a major success with that but nevertheless I tired. At least he had fun at times.

My social life saw its peak during those months. It had theater, concert, eating out, shopping and trips to sea view. Apart from that we both are huge Pink Floyd Fans and shared similar thoughts on many subjects(except few) so naturally we had to become friends plus the kind of companion I was looking for at work place from a long time was there. Its very crucial to have a like minded soul at work place(I am not saying there is no one like that, there are quite a few who I get along well) it helps you to stay fresh and u can take out all the frustration.

Anyways coming back to my buddy. I have seen very few people who would go to any length to help out their friends, one man I know would always be there. Always there to help out and give advices. Possesses great knowledge, you ask him any question about anything and majority(infect almost always) of times he would have a fairly large explanation on it and will definitely satisfy you. Good sense of humor, very fond of eating, a very capable aero modeler and a very honest man.

It wont be easy killing time at work without his presence. I would definitely miss our entertainment sessions which used to start anytime during hectic working hours. Our daily coke trip to dahba that included Aman as well(now he is gone too). Going out for lunch and etc etc.

There is a lot that can be written but I am no good with words so I shall end it here. All I know that the feeling of not having friends in town which was quite dominating for past 4 years and when it was finally beginning to faze out. He had to go.

I really really Thank you for everything you did for me and making a difference.
I wish you all the best in your career and life. Although we will be meeting on and off but the past days will not be returning unless I join the same work place which you do ;).
