Our Cricket

Ok I started writing this post last night but left it half way in middle and went to sleep and in morning when I woke up we already have more twist in the tale. Yes it is about the ongoing saga of our cricket. It was too imperative that some sort drama is bound to happen, Pakistani cricket and this quietness? naaaaaaa doesn’t go. Though I must confess I was quite satisfied with this stability, but things exploded and rest is history. Atleast one good thing came out if it was termination of Mushtaq Ahmed as an assistant coach, I have nothing against him its just this one was the most useless of appointments. Imagine a player having to listen to a coach, then there is a bowling coach, his captain and now add an assistant coach sheesh what were they thinking? I just hope the rumors of rift among team members just remains a rumor, we really can’t afford to go back to days of 90s which were total chaos. Although I have little hope from Champions trophy but atleast we can test out some combinations and maybe if Younis Khan manages to unite the team then there is nothing like it. But one thing I would like to add is, the way he went on public announcing his resignation was display of most unprofessional attitude. What made him to that??? Even when we plan to resign from work we first go speak to the manager, get his approval and then go public even that only remains with close colleagues and subordinates. But sigh again its us, one drama nation. On other hand Shahrayar Khan had to go, he should have gone after Oval fiasco. If you cannot convince your captain to go and play instead end up fortifying a match, I doubt you can handle this team.

OK now coming to domestic stuff :P hehe, well ramzan has settled into a nice routine actually it is kinda tough but it is good. I am regularly finding time to go out running which is great, weather at night gets quite pleasant with nice breeze blowing. It is fun to run in a flood light lid stadium (ok ok I am not showing off, but its fun :P). Last week was invited for iftar it was kind of a religious gathering. There met this British convert, who got converted ten years back. I asked him about what made him come to Islam and it was refreshing to hear his story, difficult to explain but felt good. One thing he said which is still fresh in mind, he said “you guys don’t know how much in peace you people are, I have been on the other side and I have felt the uneasiness, the kind of peace Salaat (prayer) gives us is nothing like”. The thing which impresses me about these converts is in our case we were born Muslims it was religion of our grand grand parents, these fellows they accept it , embrace it against all resistance even when we are setting one of the worst examples. Maybe we should all need to reconvert ourselves.

Okie change of topic I bought this Tangerine flavored with touch of mint close-up toothpaste :P well you might go ewwww but seriously its kewl to use haha do try if you guys can get a hand on it :D.
