I guess I don’t have to mention this time around why there are lack of posts here, it is very evident my priorities have shifted for a while but that doesn’t mean I am abandoning this blog.

It is definitely not easy writing three posts a day(yea that’s much I am doing) and writing your own opinions and making them presentable but so far so good and I am enjoying it :D even if readership is almost non existent hahaha :D.

The other news which is occupying papers specially here in Gulf is the death of Palestine civilians by Israeli forces. Btw I at times visit a forum where mostly Israelis participate and discuss issues and according to some they none of the Palestinians qualify as civilians since according to them they breed terrorism but there are some who are quite reasonable.

First it was a shelling on beach in Gaza which killed all the members of 8 years old Hadeel Ghalia’s family only left is her 11 year old half-sister, 20 year old half-brother and the step mother. I wonder what is the fault of these kids? Born in wrong country? Wrong place at a wrong time? Apparently there doesn’t seem to be any logical reason behind this shelling that is why Israelis came up with a non conclusive presentation trying to show the world(the way their masters US did) that it wasn’t from their side, totally not convincing. Its amazing how they get away with this, its not for the first time it has happened before so many children have got killed, so many innocent people have been murdered from both sides but only condemnations follow no real action we just seem to neglect this even as a problem, talk about apathy. And words are so easy, writing this is so easy but when u think about start making a difference problem lies. What will happen to those girls? Probably some rich Arab family will adopt them but what about thousand others? So many children in Palestine have watched their dear ones die in front of their eyes, many have attended funeral and many have lost their lives when they hardly started their schools. Will someone ever stop it? In a second incident just days after this atrocity another aerial attack on a car carrying rockets was carried which killed 9 civilians and Hamas guys supposedly going to launch rockets on Israel’s territory. Newspaper carried images of a person tripping while carrying a wounded kid, blood sprouting, it was very painful and I didn’t have nerves to view it again. Israel claims that it is its right to shoot down suspects by any means anywhere which of course carries huge risks of civilian deaths and in reaction can cause more attacks on Israel. This is just a vicious cycle, one party kills people from others and then the other retaliates and both are guilty of breaking the truce at one time or the other. But seriously is Israel this dumb? Naa I believe they know no one would stop them and they have eternal right to commit their actions. They don’t care how many innocent lives are lost and know some handful of nations or organizations will just make voices and that’s it, they just know they are mighty and they can get away with it. And we are allowing them to do it. I have nothing else to say.

Another Blog

Ok so one more time long absence and this time I was busy with work, no not office work but other stuff. Last weekend was fun, it was the first time my friends were here instead of the routine me traveling to Sharjah and it was real good :D. Cooked food for them, took them around the city and later at night at Top of Jabel hafeet ( Hafeet mountain). Thanks to my miss calculation they all missed out Friday prayers by a margin of two minutes :P. I was kinda glad that this time I didn’t have to drive on those 150 kms route but no later in evening had to leave for Abu Dhabi and come back late night. It was a reunion of Giki friends. Maryam who was in town for 3-4 days break after her LUMS semester coordinated it and rest of the guys who are working in UAE were there. Only five of us but it was good to see them infact three of them I met after graduation that is six years :O sheesh time flies. I was thinking of writing a post on that but now I shall write one when it will be ten years of our first day in GIKI (feel so old).

Al Ain being the desert city so weather has been ferociously hot mostly hitting higher 40s and once or twice has hit 50 too (this is Celsius) but from past couple of days it has been lot cooler with clouds and wind(though with strong wind , dust storms are associated in this part of the world).

Fifa World cup is about to begin in just two days time and I have taken an inspiration from a Tennis blog of two master writers (and no Hira I am not a cheater :P ) and have started a Fifa World Cup blog. I am so much wanting for them to contribute here too and yes Hira app bhee :P plus who else is interested to write, do drop a line. Aur mujhe yaad nahee araha what else to write oh yea pretty pathetic movies tonite so I guess I will go watch Da Vinci Code :P.
